ROBERT J. SEIBERT specializes in the field of municipal law. He also has extensive experience in the areas of real estate, contract and commercial litigation. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree (cum laude) from Western Michigan University and received his law degree (cum laude) from Wayne State University in 1980. Mr. Seibert has held the prestigious AV Peer Rating Review, Martindale-Hubbell for over 20 consecutive years and in 2010 he was listed in "dbusiness" Top Lawyers in Metro Detroit.

Mr. Seibert is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and Macomb County Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in all Michigan courts, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Mr. Seibert is a member of the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance. Selected attorneys are extended membership by invitation only based on nominations from CLM Fellows. Mr. Seibert has been the featured speaker on zoning and takings issues before governmental officials and member communities. He has also participated in seminars for the Michigan State University Extension Program - "Citizen Planner." Mr. Seibert currently acts as a court-appointed mediator for Macomb County Circuit Court civil litigation disputes and has been selected to arbitrate a number of civil actions pending at the Circuit Court level.

In 2006, Mr. Seibert participated in the production of a video for Michigan municipalities entitled "You've Been Sued." The video was presented at the 2006 Michigan Township Association Convention.

In 2007, Mr. Seibert was one of several attorneys who presented a panel discussion on the Open Meetings Act and Freedom of Information Act at the annual Michigan Township Association Convention.
