CHRISTINE D. ANDERSON focuses her practice on municipal law. For over 25 years she has represented townships in Macomb, St. Clair and Lapeer counties. She assists municipalities with ordinance drafting, a wide variety of zoning matters, telecommunications issues, labor concerns and collective bargaining matters. In addition she provides legal expertise regarding the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Open Meetings Act (OMA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) , the Family and Medical leave Act (FMLA), and the Americans with Disability Act (ADA).

Mrs. Anderson prosecutes misdemeanor criminal charges, as well as violations of all Michigan Building Codes and the International Fire Code in the New Baltimore, Romeo, Marine City and Lapeer District Courts. She has tried matters before administrative law judges in the Michigan Tax Tribunal and Michigan Employment Relations Commission. She frequently conducts presentations for Planning Commissions and Zoning Boards of Appeals in policy, procedure and avoidance of litigation.

Mrs. Anderson graduated from Michigan State University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Relations from James Madison College. She received her law degree from the University of Detroit School of Law in 1991. She was an Executive Board Member of the Moot Court Board of Directors, a member of the American Inns of Court and Order of the Barristers.

Mrs. Anderson is admitted to practice in all Michigan Courts as well as the United District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Mrs. Anderson is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the Macomb County Bar Association. She is an active member of the Women’s Lawyer Association, Public Corporation Law Section and Labor and Employment Section of the State Bar of Michigan. Additionally, she devotes a substantial amount of time to various social and charitable organizations such as the Girl Scouts of America and Anchor Bay Athletics.
